The Book of James by Francis Chan

True faith produces fruit. A faith without action and without life change is ultimately a dead faith. The book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus—the kind of roll-up-your-sleeves and get-your-hands-dirty discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffering, who’ve faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God.

What Love Is by Kelly Minter

The Letters of 1, 2 & 3 John were written to encourage followers of Jesus to remain faithful to the truth. Believers are challenged to look at contrasting themes such as walking in the light instead of darkness, truth versus lies and deception, loving God more than loving the world, and the meaning of true fellowship and community rather than shallowness.

John- Believe I Am

You can know a lot about Jesus and not know Him at all. We’re not meant to simply know a lot of facts about Jesus. Truly knowing someone requires personal knowledge coming from being with someone over time and building trust. We come to know God personally when we spend time with Him, when we build trust in Him, when we share our life with Him. This study through the Gospel of John focuses on dissecting His seven “I Am” statements, where we come to learn what Jesus wants us to know most about His character and love for us.

Act Like Jesus by Randy Frazee

We all want to live more like Jesus lived, but simply wanting to and trying harder isn’t enough. To truly become like Jesus, our beliefs need to not only inform us but also transform us. It is the practice of reaching up to God and out to others that will drive beliefs from our head to our heart.

Act Like Jesus teaches the life-giving spiritual disciplines that will lead us in fulfilling our mission to love God and love our neighbor.

Leaders: Joe & Alyssa Reber

John – Life In His Name

We all believe in something. We all put our faith in what we trust will sustain us and help us move ahead. For some of us, that might be a relationship or a job. For others, it could be an education, a financial portfolio, or a political platform. But the disciple John, in his Gospel, invites us to put our belief in something much more secure. As he states, “These things [in my Gospel] are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name”John challenges us to trust in Christ—and to demonstrate our faith in him through the way we live and love others.
